Crafting Guidelines for Community Participation

We want to create and in turn help others to facilitate safe, professional spaces for people to learn from each other. Towards that goal, we expect all awardees to follow guidelines for ethical relations as outlined in the Code for Science and Society's code of conduct. In addition, all awardees work with the event fund manager to develop their own appropriate event-specific guidelines for community participation. Awardees' guidelines for community participation may include the following components:

• Clear guidelines for reporting
• Clear language about how to file reports
• A review and appeal process
• A Transparency report (see pycon's example)
