This Giving Tuesday, donate directly to CS&S Sponsored Projects

Code for Science & Society works to improve access to funding, launch innovative and timely initiatives, and bring vibrant events to the open public interest technology community. With your support, we can do more. If you’re in the position to give this year, and if giving to the people who work for this community is a priority for you, please consider donating to CS&S.

How are donations used? Small donations make a big impact at CS&S - we are a distributed organization and most of our budget in both our core programs and in our Fiscally Sponsored Projects Program is devoted to paying people. All of our programs and sponsored projects are improving access to knowledge with their open initiatives, but work in this sector is always hard to resource. In our community, every dollar makes a difference.

Donate directly to projects: A gift to a project will directly support the project team and their work by funding staff costs, conference and event costs, paying for tools, enable projects to fund expert support, and pay for other project expenses. codeforscience.org/sponsored-projects/

A gift to CS&S: Donations to CS&S support programs like our Event Fund and our programming designed to support open source public interest technology leaders. codeforscience.org/donate/

Other types of donations: If your company uses Benevity, you can find us there. And if you choose to shop Amazon, you can donate to CS&S via AmazonSmile. To help us avoid processing fees and make your gift go further, consider sending us a check, or donating by wire transfer, cryptocurrency, or stock. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information, or if you are donating on behalf of a corporation.

The most valuable support you can give is your participation in our community and by sharing our work, and the work of our Sponsored Projects. If you are not already subscribed to our mailing list, please subscribe. Find our blog at blog.codeforscience.org follow us on Twitter @codeforsociety.

On a personal note, on behalf of everyone at CS&S, I want to extend our sincere thanks to an incredible community of colleagues and collaborators. You’ve made it fun to be on a million video calls during a truly difficult year. You’ve engaged with our Event Fund, joined us for virtual csv,conf,v5 and registered for JROST 2020. Your perspective and continued engagement in our community keeps us going when things get tough — thank you!
